# SanatanService™ Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy (“Policy”) describes how SanatanService™ (“SanatanService,” “we,” “our,” or “us”), a platform operated by Runtime Apps LLC, collects, uses, processes, stores, discloses, and safeguards personal information belonging to users (“you,” “your,” or “users”) when you access, install, or interact with the Sanatan™ mobile application (the “App”), which is listed in app stores as SanatanService and is made available throughout the United States.
By downloading, installing, or using the App, you acknowledge that you have read this Policy and agree to be legally bound by its provisions. If you do not agree with this Policy, you must refrain from using the App and should uninstall it from your device immediately. We reserve the right to update this Policy from time to time. Continued use of the App after any update constitutes your acceptance of the revised provisions.
The App offers Home, Horoscope, Sanatan AI, Calendar, and AI Experts sections, along with Kundli, Panchang, and Wisdom content. Within these sections you may chat with Sanatan AI, our conversational AI assistant; chat with AI Experts, which are AI-powered personas focused on topics such as career, love, and marriage; receive personalized horoscope readings; enter personal details to generate Panchang timings and Kundli charts; and watch wisdom content, including AI-generated videos about astrology. Content in the App, including AI-generated responses, is provided for informational and entertainment purposes only and is not professional, medical, legal, or financial advice.
## 1. Information We Collect
1.1 SanatanService collects information in several ways to provide full functionality, personalize content, and meet legal requirements. The categories of information we collect include information you provide directly, information collected automatically through your device and interactions, and information derived from integrated third-party services.
1.2 **Account information.** When you register, you provide a valid email address and create a password, or you sign in using Google or Apple. Your email address is your unique identifier and allows us to maintain your account, communicate with you, and provide account recovery. If you sign in with Google or Apple, we receive your name and email address from that provider (Apple may provide a private relay email address instead of your real one). Passwords are protected using industry-standard security measures and are never stored in readable form. You may also provide additional profile information such as your profile photo, gender, and contact phone number. Providing this information enhances your experience but is not required for basic use.
1.3 **Birth details and astrology profile.** The Horoscope and Kundli features collect your date of birth, time of birth, and place of birth (including the location coordinates and time zone we derive from the place you enter) to generate Kundli charts, Panchang details, and horoscope readings. From these details we also generate and store astrological information such as your Moon sign, Sun sign, and nakshatra. You may add additional Kundli profiles for other people, such as family members; please enter another person’s details only if you are permitted to do so. You may also save a current location, such as a city, to personalize Panchang timings. This data is used to generate astrological content and personalize your experience, and it is not used for unrelated profiling or marketing without your explicit consent.
1.4 **Sanatan AI and AI Experts.** When you use Sanatan AI or AI Experts, we collect the content of your messages, the AI responses, and your conversation history. To generate a response, we may also include relevant context from your profile, such as your first name, your birth chart details, and the page or topic you came from (for example, your horoscope or Kundli). AI-generated responses are for informational and entertainment purposes only. Please avoid sharing sensitive information, such as health details, financial account numbers, or government ID numbers, in your messages.
1.5 **Reviews, check-ins, and daily message allowance.** You may rate AI responses with a thumbs up or thumbs down, and you may save certain responses, such as forecasts for a week or month, as “check-ins.” For each check-in we collect the name you give it, the related question and response, its scheduled date, and your later answer (for example, “That matched,” “Somewhat,” “Not this time,” or “Still unfolding”). We also record how many messages you send each day and how many additional messages you earn through reviews and check-ins. Please avoid including sensitive information in check-in names.
1.6 **Wisdom content.** The Wisdom section hosts AI-generated videos about astrology and spiritual education. These videos do not collect data themselves, but we monitor your engagement with the content, including which videos you view, how long you view them, and whether you replay them. This usage information is aggregated to improve our educational offerings.
1.7 **Notifications.** If you choose to receive notifications, we collect a push notification token that identifies your device, your notification preference settings, and whether notifications are enabled on your device. We send a daily “Today’s Guidance” reminder only if you have opted in and have saved your birth details. You can turn this off at any time in the App under Menu → Notifications or in your device settings.
1.8 **Device, login, and usage information.** While you use the App, we may collect device information such as the model, operating system, app version, device identifiers and network information to optimize performance across devices, detect fraudulent behavior, and ensure technical stability. We also keep a record of login events, including the login method (email, Google, or Apple), time, IP address, and device identifier, for security and fraud prevention. We may collect usage information, including the features you access, the frequency of your interactions, time spent within specific sections, navigation pathways, and crash logs. These metrics help us improve the App, resolve technical problems, and enhance user experience.
1.9 **Approximate location.** We use your IP address to derive an approximate country, region, and time zone. We use this to determine which features are available in your area (for example, Sanatan AI and AI Experts are currently available only to users in the United States), to prevent abuse, and for analytics. We do not currently collect precise GPS location from your device.
## 2. How We Use Your Information
2.1 We use the information we collect to provide, maintain, and enhance the services offered through the App. When you supply your birth details, our system processes this information to generate Panchang, horoscope, and Kundli results tailored to your profile, so that the content delivered to you is meaningful and accurate within the astrological framework.
2.2 We use your account credentials, such as your email address, for authentication, account recovery, and communication regarding updates or changes to the services. Communications may include service announcements, security alerts, or feature updates. Where legally permissible and with your prior consent, we may also use your email to inform you about future paid features or offers, and we will provide the option to unsubscribe.
2.3 We use your messages and relevant profile context to generate AI responses and maintain your conversation. We also use AI interaction logs, ratings, and check-in outcomes to evaluate and improve the relevance, accuracy, and safety of our AI features, for example by adjusting our prompts and settings. When we analyze this data in aggregate, we apply best practices and standards for data anonymization.
2.4 We use your ratings and check-in answers to calculate your daily message allowance, remind you about check-ins, show your activity in the “Your Contribution” screen, and improve our content.
2.5 We use your push notification token to deliver the notifications you have opted in to receive.
2.6 Device and usage data serve diagnostic purposes. For instance, if the App crashes on certain devices, logs allow us to pinpoint technical flaws and issue corrective updates. Aggregated analytics about which features are most used help us prioritize product development.
2.7 We also process information to protect the integrity and security of the App. This includes detecting fraudulent logins, preventing abusive behavior within the AI features, enforcing regional availability and usage limits, and ensuring compliance with our Terms of Service. In addition, personal information may be processed to comply with legal obligations, respond to lawful government requests, enforce agreements, or protect the rights, property, and safety of SanatanService, its users, or the public.
## 3. Information Sharing and Disclosure
3.1 We limit disclosure of personal information to what is necessary for functionality, compliance, or with your explicit consent. We use trusted service providers to operate the App, including Google (for Firebase services such as authentication and push notifications, and for the AI models that generate responses), Apple (for Sign in with Apple and push delivery on iOS devices) and our web hosting provider. These providers receive only the information needed to perform their services, and we require them to protect it and use it solely for those purposes. When we request astrological calculations, we submit your birth-related information in an anonymized manner to secure provider APIs. When you use Sanatan AI or AI Experts, your messages and the profile context described in Section 1.4 are sent to our AI provider to generate a response.
3.2 We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.
3.3 We may disclose personal information if compelled by law, regulation, or valid legal process, including to government authorities or courts. Disclosure may also occur if we believe in good faith that it is necessary to prevent illegal activities, protect against liability, enforce our Terms of Service, or ensure the safety of users.
## 4. Data Retention
We retain your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide you with our services. This includes your profile, birth details, conversation history, ratings, and check-in records. Push notification tokens are refreshed or removed when you log out, when they expire, or when your account is deleted. We may also retain information as necessary to comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. When information is no longer required, we implement secure deletion protocols, including permanent erasure from active databases and backup systems.
You may request deletion of your data at any time through our website or the in-app account deletion feature, and we will honor such requests within applicable legal timelines.
When you request account deletion through the App, your account will be deactivated and scheduled for permanent deletion. You may contact support within thirty (30) days of the deletion request to reactivate your account. If no reactivation request is received during this period, personal information associated with the account will be permanently deleted from our active systems, subject to any legal retention obligations and backup system retention schedules.
## 5. Data Security
5.1 SanatanService employs a combination of technical, administrative, and physical safeguards to protect personal information against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. Our servers are hosted with a third-party hosting provider that maintains firewalls, intrusion detection, and regular security patching.
5.2 We take reasonable steps to protect your information from unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, or destruction. However, no internet transmission or electronic storage method is 100% secure.
## 6. Your Privacy Rights
6.1 As a resident of California, you are entitled to specific privacy rights under the CCPA/CPRA. These rights include the right to know what categories of personal information we collect, the right to request access to the specific information collected, the right to request correction of inaccurate data, the right to deletion of your personal information (subject to lawful exceptions), and the right to opt out of any future sale or sharing of your information.
6.2 You may exercise these rights by contacting us through the channels provided at the end of this Policy. Upon receipt of your request, we may need to verify your identity to protect against fraudulent or unauthorized requests. Verification may involve confirming your email address, asking for supplementary details, or cross-referencing information already on file.
6.3 For users outside of California, similar rights may exist under your local laws. Regardless of location, we endeavor to honor reasonable requests for access, correction, or deletion of personal information, subject to the limits of applicable legislation.
6.4 **Your choices.** You can turn daily notifications on or off at any time in the App under Menu → Notifications or in your device settings. You can edit your birth details and profile information in the App, and you can delete your account through the in-app account deletion feature.
## 7. Children’s Privacy
The App is not directed toward children under the age of thirteen, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
## 8. International Data Transfers
SanatanService operates primarily within the United States. Certain features, including Sanatan AI and AI Experts, are currently available only to users located in the United States. Should you access the App from outside the U.S., you acknowledge and consent that your information may be transferred to and processed within the United States.
## 9. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Policy in the App and on our website (sanatanservice.com) and updating the date above. The “Last Updated” date at the top of this Policy indicates the current effective version. Continued use of the App following updates constitutes acceptance of the revised Policy. Users who do not agree with modifications may discontinue use and request deletion of their accounts.
